Commercial Construction Superintendent (Industrial)

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States; on-site construction work

Salary: $99,000–$150,700 per year, with compensation varying by city, state, experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.

What you will do

• Direct on-site workflow for industrial commercial construction projects in line with schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead site staff and subcontractors, communicate project priorities, and collaborate with project managers and site operations.
• Manage jobsite safety, incident reporting and investigations, inspections, and compliance with the company safety program.
• Coordinate construction sequencing, schedules, commitments, temporary site facilities, utilities, and long-lead item expediting.
• Maintain daily logs, work orders, tickets, site conditions, punch lists, and project closeout documentation.
• Identify field issues early, provide solutions, manage subcontractor scopes, and support owner and architect acceptance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including work with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong knowledge of building processes and construction best practices.
• Ability to organize people, tools, time, and other resources to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in superintendent or project lead roles is preferred; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred, with additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam, and sector- or project-specific software.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds; OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience and OSHA 30 certification.
