What you will do
- Participate in the paid, 12-month HITT Futures Program through onsite shadowing, mentorship, training, and performance reviews every four months.
- Set up and maintain jobsite offices, project directories, construction documents, daily reports, submittal logs, RFI logs, and subcontractor records.
- Support site inspections, building and site protection, construction activities, as-built drawings, coordination drawings, and project scheduling.
- Complete material take-offs, place supplier orders, receive deliveries, and assist with survey and layout instruments.
- Coordinate subcontractor foremen meetings and assist project managers with budgeting, logistics, and client management.
- Support the corporate safety program through safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Military experience or an accredited associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business is strongly preferred.
- Previous commercial jobsite experience and an interest in construction and onsite work are strongly preferred.
- Ability to learn project software including Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and JD Edwards.
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work fully onsite and commute to jobsites within a 30–40-mile radius of the assigned office.
