What you will do

  • Provide technical advice and engineering support to supervisors, project engineers, engineering managers, and integrated project teams.
  • Implement functional procedures, training, quality processes, and companywide engineering programs.
  • Identify engineering and technology needs that reduce risk and uncertainty across projects and programs.
  • Ensure engineering activities, designs, plans, instructions, and subcontractor documents comply with Federal, state, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Apply safety management programs and ISMS processes to engineering activities and resulting designs.
  • Support assessments, technical resolutions, project requests, and other engineering and functional activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or a related field with relevant Nuclear Facility Safety Analyst experience.
  • Current L or Q DOE clearance and US citizenship are required.
  • At least 10 years of DOE nuclear experience.
  • At least five years of experience developing, maintaining, and applying DOE 10 CFR 830 safety basis documentation.
  • Completed two- or three-day DOE USQD training and experienced in Nuclear Facility Safety for DOE decommissioning and demolition activities.
  • Ability to qualify and maintain qualifications as a Senior Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineer Analyst under the UCOR qualification program, including completion of required training modules.
