Location: Richland, Washington, United States; predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support only as approved. Frequent field presence is required.

What you will do
- Evaluate worker safety and health programs for compliance and support their implementation and documentation.
- Conduct safety assessments and inspections, enforce hazard controls, and perform job hazard analyses.
- Support incident investigations and safety and security enforcement activities.
- Develop safety metrics and prepare safety compliance dashboards.
- Provide safety, environment, and quality support to the Hanford Field Office and DOE Environmental Management programs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams supporting nuclear cleanup, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental, regulatory, and engineering functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of safety oversight experience.
- Experience with safety inspections, job hazard analyses, and compliance analysis.
- Observation, coaching, vigilance, communication, organization, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word skills are preferred for the role.
- Ability to work predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, with frequent field presence.
Nice to have
- Environmental Management sector experience.
- DOE or nuclear industry experience.
- CSP or CIH certification.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
