Location: Richland, Washington, United States; predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support subject to approval.

What you will do

• Support nuclear safety activities for DOE Environmental Management and the Hanford Field Office.
• Provide safety basis, unreviewed safety question (USQ), quality assurance, audit, and assessment support.
• Lead USQ evaluations in support of configuration control.
• Support regulator interface and compliance oversight in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.
• Assist program and project management activities related to Environment, Safety and Health and Quality Assurance functions.

Requirements

• 8–12 or more years of nuclear safety and quality assurance experience.
• Required experience in DOE nuclear facilities and the Environmental Management sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• Knowledge of safety basis processes, USQ evaluations, audits, and QA standards.
• Ability to work with independence, judgment, and technical clarity.
• Facility Clearance is required; a DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.

Nice to have

• Advanced engineering, science, nuclear safety, or quality assurance certifications.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
