Senior Software Engineer

Location: Joint Base San Antonio, Texas / Lackland AFB, Texas; U.S. citizenship required

hirify.global provides professional services and directly supports the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division within the USAF Cyber and Networks Directorate.

What you will do

• Evaluate operational feasibility, requirements, solution options, and software development approaches.
• Develop, install, debug, patch, maintain, and document software and applications.
• Design system specifications, standards, programming solutions, flowcharts, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Conduct systems analysis, investigate issues, and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and operations.
• Plan and implement Agile acquisition, software development, and DevOps processes for cloud and non-cloud applications.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, customers, and other organizations to resolve findings and align solutions with requirements.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software or applications.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, and C.
• Ability to integrate with other organizations and develop effective working relationships with customers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, and C.
• Experience with Agile Scrum development methodology.
