Senior Software Engineer - Backend Developer & Cloud/AI Specialty (AI)

Salary: $106,480.81–$185,149.47 per year

What you will do

• Design, architect, develop, and maintain scalable client, server, and cloud-based software.
• Build AI/ML applications, model-containerization solutions, deployment workflows, and automated pipelines.
• Integrate commercial software, cloud services, databases, and external systems through REST and Open APIs.
• Develop software build pipelines and contribute to modular, extensible solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile workflow and occasionally demonstrate software technologies to customers.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience, with a BS and 8–10 years, MS and 6–8 years, or PhD and 3–5 years of experience in an engineering discipline.
• Professional experience with Java and Python.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and solutions, database administration, web databases, and integrations.
• Experience with AI/MLOps, including Azure and/or AWS AI services and Pydantic or comparable AI technologies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security and compliance.
• Pipeline development and management using GitLab or Azure DevOps.
• Linux-based software development experience.
