What you will do

• Design and deliver large product and solution development engagements while balancing priorities, workloads, and client commitments.
• Gather data, define project-level architectural requirements, and contribute to future architecture direction.
• Lead current-state and future-state analysis, architecture roadmaps, and implementation plans.
• Support solution design and deployment with focus on standardization, consolidation, total cost of ownership, security, regulatory compliance, and application quality.
• Research emerging technologies and industry trends, and communicate solution roadmaps to clients and internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance; participate in a rotational on-call schedule outside standard business hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or MIS.
• At least 4 years of technical experience in software development.
• At least 4 years of full-lifecycle development experience using Agile methods, including technical leadership for an Agile team.
• Ability to guide complex projects from initial concept through final launch.
• Strong communication skills for working with clients, cross-functional and cross-hierarchical associates, and other stakeholders.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with capacity and performance analysis of complex systems.
• Experience in heterogeneous Windows .NET, Linux/Unix, AS400, and mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of relational database architecture, replication strategies, SQL, and Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of physical, virtual, and cloud deployment strategies.
