TL;DR
Software Solution Architect (Java/IBM Cloud): Designing and implementing modernization solutions for complex legacy and tax-processing systems with an accent on SOA, business rules architecture, and IBM enterprise platforms. Focus on guiding requirements and system design, tuning SQL and application performance, integrating multi-tier systems, and mentoring less experienced staff.
Location: Albany, New York, United States; hybrid attendance required

What you will do
- Guide the technical design and modernization of complex legacy systems.
- Coordinate technical solutions across support and development groups.
- Implement changes across multiple systems and develop tax-processing system components.
- Analyze production issues, resolve defects, and support user testing.
- Develop technical design documents, program specifications, and system requirements.
- Code, perform unit and integration testing, tune application and database performance, and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- At least 84 months of experience designing choreography and orchestration processes with WebSphere Process Server, IBM CP4BA, or IBM CP4I.
- At least 84 months of experience with business rules architecture, Rules Entry UI systems, portable runtime engines, and IBM Automation Decision Services.
- At least 84 months of experience with Java, J2EE, SOA component architecture, JMS, BPEL, Spring Framework, IBM SCA/SDO, WebSphere Application Server, and WebSphere Process Server.
- At least 84 months of experience with multi-tier transactional systems, system analysis and design, technical documentation, IBM MQ, and DB2 data modeling and performance tuning.
- At least 36 months of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and microservices architecture.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, green card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate.
