Mechanical Engineer V - Technical Lead

Salary: $121,506.18–$211,275.66 annually

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, integration, testing, evaluation, and modification of complex mechanical equipment and systems.
• Analyze unusually complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions using advanced engineering principles.
• Plan and coordinate engineering projects, programs, resources, schedules, fabrication, testing, and field activities.
• Supervise technicians involved in fabrication, installation, testing, and integration activities.
• Develop and review engineering drawings, test procedures, evaluation plans, technical reports, manuals, and other documentation.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, troubleshooting support, and recommendations to engineering and operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with 10–12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 8–10 years, or a PhD with 5–7 years.
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation.
• Experience developing and modifying complex mechanical equipment and systems.
• Experience with engineering drawings, technical documentation, test procedures, evaluation plans, and technical reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with government or defense programs, systems integration, test and evaluation, field operations, or sustainment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Professional Engineering license or another relevant professional certification.
