Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Own the design, development, build, and implementation of custom equipment for testing battery components.
• Design mechanical and thermal systems for battery testing equipment.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, controls, and software engineers to develop integrated test systems.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve factory rate, development, and reliability goals.
• Solve complex, open-ended engineering problems with an emphasis on execution speed and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline.
• At least one year of professional mechanical engineering experience after completing the degree.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or ProE.
• Experience designing custom machines and electromechanical systems, including motors and lifting or rigging equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing process development, facility or production-line layouts, inspection methods, production tooling, or product design.
• Experience designing mechanisms, welded structures, and mass-efficient structures, plus drafting standards and GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
