Logistics Specialist (Biotech)

Location: Pennington, New Jersey, United States; onsite work involving physical shipping and receiving duties.

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Manage domestic and international end-to-end logistics processes, including freight forwarding contracts, brokers, customs clearance, and bonds.
• Coordinate scheduling, receiving, storing, and shipping of sales orders and customer-provided materials with cross-functional teams.
• Provide import and export customs support, including permits, licenses, annual bonds, duty invoices, shipment tracking, and delay notifications.
• Support shipping and receiving operations and communicate procedures to other departments.
• Maintain shipping records and process freight invoices in relevant systems.
• Follow QMS, cGMP, SOP, and EHS policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, distribution, or a related field.
• Ability to lift and move materials, bend, stand for extended periods, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements and experience with SOP and documentation work are preferred.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience managing cold-chain logistics for biological materials.
