Inventory Specialist (Biotechnology)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; on-site role

Annual salary: $57,000–$94,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Manage raw materials, consumables, and bulk products according to company inventory policies.
• Conduct cycle counts in a laboratory setting, including cold storage.
• Receive, organize, and put away materials in assigned locations.
• Collect and stage materials and perform capping activities.
• Manage stock adjustments, investigate discrepancies, and ensure inventory records are accurate.
• Analyze data and generate reports to improve inventory processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, supply chain, or related operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, and data visualization.
• Expertise in cycle counting, stock accuracy, inventory reconciliation, and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause investigation and corrective actions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across production, warehouse, and supply chain teams.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry packages and containers weighing up to 20 lbs.

• Experience performing inventory transactions in Oracle.
