Manufacturing Warehouse Manager

What you will do

• Manage central warehouse, shipping, receiving, and associated staff.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, including truck requirements, freight routes, rates, carriers, and transload facilities.
• Maintain appropriate material stocking levels and develop efficient processes for supplying manufacturing operations.
• Improve warehouse layout, shipping and receiving procedures, safety, ergonomics, and department efficiency.
• Track logistics spend, fuel, surcharges, inventory, delivery, and cost KPIs through monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Interview, train, coach, evaluate, and lead employees while ensuring compliance with workplace policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, distribution, and warehouse management.
• Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, business management, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations, with a strong safety focus.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and required experience with JDE ERP and WMS.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, decision-making, and time management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
