Materials Control Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Irving, TX, United States — onsite at a distribution center

Salary: $24.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Supervise cycle-count execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
• Support physical inventory counts and resolve differences between warehouse-management-system records and physical stock.
• Optimize inventory by redistributing stock to address stock-outs and reduce excess or idle inventory.
• Evaluate proposed customer returns and inspect returned products for saleable condition.
• Manage inventory inspections, support Sales with urgent inventory issues, and assist Engineering and Quality teams.
• Review and release manufacturing orders, issue shortage orders, and support build-to-stock requirements.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Inventory management experience is desired.
• Industrial warehouse experience and forklift certification are helpful.
• Work onsite at the Irving, Texas distribution center.
