Sandblaster - 2nd shift

Location: Faribault, MN, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

Salary: $24.00/hour plus a $1.00/hour second-shift differential

What you will do

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare metal and other materials by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and contaminants.
• Select blasting media, equipment settings, and required protective equipment.
• Inspect workpieces to verify surface preparation and quality requirements.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Document progress in the CMMS, communicate work status, and maintain a clean work area using 6S principles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Strong safety awareness, reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Required PPE includes a NIOSH-approved Type 1 Class C respirator, protective suit, gloves, and hearing protection; occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience.
