Industrial Paint Blaster - 1st Shift

Location: Riceville, Iowa, United States; full-time, 1st shift

Pay range: $20–$25.48

McNeilus, an hirify.global company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies, including rear-load, front-load, and automated side-load models.

What you will do

• Operate handheld or automated surface-preparation equipment to remove scale, rust, oils, grease, and other contaminants.
• Prepare surfaces for protective coating application and verify cleanliness and uniformity against visual profile and etch standards.
• Use a surface profilometer, mix and meter blasting media, and apply protective masking to critical surfaces.
• Truck, handle, and position materials as required.
• Complete quality-control paperwork, perform self-inspections, and maintain a safe, clean workstation.
• Train or assist with the development of personnel and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write with average mechanical skills.
• Respirator training and usage are required.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and work fully prone for extended periods.
• Ability to work from elevated surfaces.
• Ability to frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
