IS Intern: AI & Automation (Managed Services)

Location: Hybrid in Omaha, Nebraska; on-site work is required at the Omaha office, and the intern must live within commuting distance from May 26 through July 30, 2027.

What you will do

• Build, test, and deploy automation scripts, workflows, and bots using Python, PowerShell, and Power Automate.
• Experiment with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot for alert triage, event correlation, anomaly detection, and root-cause analysis.
• Support monitoring, alerting, dashboarding, performance tuning, observability, and site reliability engineering practices.
• Contribute to Azure cloud automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Cloud, Network, and Application/Integration Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Complete a capstone project focused on operational workflow automation, AI-assisted monitoring, alert-noise reduction, or improved MTTR.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in AI, automation, and IT operations, with intellectual curiosity and a drive to learn.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience or interest in scripting or programming with Python, PowerShell, or Bash; AI/ML concepts; Azure and infrastructure automation; monitoring and observability; or workflow automation.
• Must be able to work on-site in Omaha, Nebraska, during the specified internship period.
