Forward Deployed Engineer Associate (AI)

Location: Chicago, United States

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 USD annually; total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $120,750–$149,500 USD.

What you will do

• Build full-stack AI features on AWS and Azure using Claude and other AI models.
• Work directly with business users day to day to build solutions within a delivery pod.
• Develop tests and evaluations for everything that ships.
• Implement solutions based on direction from the Solution Architect.
• Identify gaps and limitations in the solution design.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience building software or AI solutions.
• Professional experience with Python and AWS or Azure.
• Ability to build software and work comfortably with business users.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Front-end development skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG and AI agents.
• Exposure to agentic DevOps tooling, agentic coding tools, and evaluation-driven pipelines.
• Healthcare or higher education experience.
• AWS AI Practitioner, Azure AI-900, or Azure AI-102 certification.
• FDE-ready capability at day 0, including Embedding L3 and AI L3.
