Client Account Specialist (Finance)

What you will do

• Manage assigned collection activities from initial follow-up through resolution.
• Review aged accounts receivable and coordinate collection status updates with billing attorneys.
• Contact clients by phone and email regarding past-due balances and provide invoices, statements, and account documentation.
• Research payment questions, unapplied or disputed items, and invoice discrepancies with Finance and billing teams.
• Document client commitments, payment arrangements, disputes, and follow-up dates accurately.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc collection reports, account summaries, and status updates.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for organizing, analyzing, and presenting account and collection data.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing deadlines, work independently, and resolve routine issues professionally.
• Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in finance, accounts receivable, billing, collections, client service, or a related professional-services environment is preferred; a BA/BS degree is also preferred.
