Production Supervisor (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States; on-site work required.

Salary: $74,300–$124,500 for salary grade 6 or $86,600–$144,900 for salary grade 7 per year.

What you will do

• Lead an hourly production team responsible for meeting safety, quality, and production targets.
• Enforce workplace safety regulations and build a culture of vigilance.
• Allocate workforce resources, prioritize critical tasks, and resolve operational issues.
• Use performance, attendance, downtime, and quality data to drive measurable improvements.
• Improve manufacturing processes, eliminate inefficiencies and defects, and maintain rigorous quality standards.
• Build effective relationships with employees, union representatives, suppliers, and management while resolving conflicts fairly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent supervisory, manufacturing, military, or relevant experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Experience with team leadership, problem solving, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodology.
• Experience with the Military Decision-Making Process.
