Operations Manager (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: hirify.global – Normal, Illinois, United States; onsite production plant role

Salary: $121,600–$203,100 per year

What you will do

• Lead all assembly operations and coordinate production departments to meet customer shipping requirements, schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Plan material, equipment, staffing, and operating requirements by reviewing daily results and resolving production issues with department leaders.
• Identify, implement, and verify continuous improvement opportunities and maintain shop floor standards including BOS, 5S, policies, procedures, and employee relations activities.
• Own product quality, identify root causes, initiate corrective actions, participate in audits, and halt production when necessary to prevent quality issues.
• Inspect the plant, enforce safe working practices, and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
• Train, motivate, evaluate, and develop production personnel while coordinating communication with managers, staff, customers, suppliers, and other company locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5–8 years of experience in a production environment, preferably with increasing responsibility.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with relevant software programs; ability to create visual communication aids.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and procedure manuals, prepare routine reports, and apply basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the Normal, Illinois production plant.
