TL;DR
Accounting & Finance Analyst (Investment Accounting/Financial Analysis): Supporting investment accounting oversight, financial statement analytics, cash flow monitoring, collateral trust compliance, and general accounting activities with an accent on reporting accuracy, reconciliations, and audit readiness. Focus on analyzing financial statement variances, reviewing investment reports, tracking trust assets and concentration limits, and preparing materials for finance leadership.
Location: Houston, Texas; onsite office and corporate campus duties

What you will do
- Oversee monthly investment accounting and reporting with third-party service providers.
- Review investment reports, investigate discrepancies, and support investment-related audits.
- Coordinate Investment Committee materials, investment summaries, performance reports, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and period-over-period variances.
- Monitor collateral trusts, asset levels, eligibility, concentration limits, and compliance with investment policies and regulations.
- Support reconciliations, month-end close activities, reporting deliverables, and audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Less than one year of accounting or finance internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles; GAAP familiarity is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, organization, communication, and collaboration.
