TL;DR
Manager, Venue Broadcast Planning and Operations (Broadcast): Planning and operationalizing broadcast infrastructure and venue support for the Olympic and Paralympic Games with an accent on multi-venue planning, technical requirements, and international broadcast coordination. Focus on leading venue site visits, securing stakeholder buy-in, and translating complex broadcast needs into deliverable venue plans.

Location: Onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States. The majority of work is office-based, with variable hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event periods. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

Annual base salary: $88,000–$115,000.

LA28 organizes the Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games and coordinates the venues, technology, operations, and broadcast partnerships required to deliver global event coverage.

What you will do

  • Lead broadcast planning and information exchange with Olympic Broadcasting Services production teams.
  • Run World Broadcaster Meetings and briefings, managing deliverable submissions and technical information flow.
  • Translate broadcast requirements into practical infrastructure and technical plans for competition venues.
  • Lead site visits, assess venue broadcast infrastructure needs, and inform planning decisions.
  • Coordinate with Venue Infrastructure, Technology, Hospitality, Ticketing, and Games Operations to streamline approvals and optimize plans.
  • Support operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games as the role evolves.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant broadcast industry experience; 7+ years in broadcast production and live operations is preferred.
  • Experience working with international broadcast organizations delivering coverage of major sporting events.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience advancing complex technical venue plans across multiple functional areas.
  • Ability to secure buy-in from senior external rights holders, including the International Olympic and International Paralympic Committees.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Los Angeles office and efficiently in an open-plan environment.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with temporary or overlay broadcast infrastructure at major multi-venue events.
  • Experience delivering broadcast plans across multiple venues simultaneously.
  • Exposure to host broadcaster planning processes and approval cycles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
