Lighting Operator (Broadcast Production)

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually

What you will do

• Execute lighting cues for live and taped programming.
• Support lighting design for studio productions and on-site productions.
• Collaborate with video shading, directors, production crews, editorial teams, engineering, facilities, and electrical teams.
• Manage lighting console interfaces and maintain documentation for studio positions, cues, and production information.
• Maintain lighting consoles, racks, networks, the lighting shop, lighting room, fixtures, and expendable inventory.
• Troubleshoot lighting issues and support safe, reliable studio operations.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in studio, broadcast, live-event, or comparable production lighting environments.
• Drafting experience with Vectorworks.
• Working knowledge of lighting consoles, fixtures, networks, cue execution, and studio lighting workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across technical, creative, and editorial teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time on-site in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
• Ability to obtain studio lift certification after hire; internal training can be provided.

Nice to have

• Broadcast television, studio production, or live programming experience.
• Existing studio lift certification.
• Experience with lighting design, console programming, or large-scale studio lighting systems.
