Senior Electrical Engineer

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering and design approaches for projects across EV charging, electric utility, renewable energy, and telecommunications industries.
• Perform quality analysis and quality control of engineering designs, construction drawings, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Develop and review low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including protection, control, wiring, load analysis, and panel schedules.
• Perform short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, grounding, soil resistivity, and related electrical studies.
• Coordinate with utilities, field crews, internal multidisciplinary teams, and design leads to complete projects and obtain approvals.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and assist with daily electrical engineering team operations.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and applicable NEC, NESC, NFPA 780, IEEE, client, and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Experience with electrical engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME, CYMCAP, PowerWorld, XGSLab, CDEGS, or PLS-CADD.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
• AutoCAD or MicroStation experience and EIT/PE credentials are preferred.
