Electrical Engineer (Power Systems)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, USA; onsite office position

What you will do

• Lead electrical design, analysis, and construction-phase support for utility, industrial, generation, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review power system studies, calculations, one-lines, three-lines, relay settings, protection and control schematics, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate technical work with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary internal teams.
• Lead projects, studies, field coordination, client relationships, and design teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical quality, proposals, and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering design and construction experience.
• Professional Engineer registration in Electrical Engineering, or ability to obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• Strong experience in low- and medium-voltage distribution, generation, protection, controls, and power system studies.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility, industrial, generation, renewable energy, federal, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar power system analysis tools.
• Experience designing protection relay communications, industrial networks, or telecommunications systems.
• RCDD registration or interest in pursuing RCDD certification.
