Electrical Engineer IV - Life Sciences

What you will do

• Lead electrical systems design for advanced and complex life sciences building projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, bonding, and special systems.
• Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, designers, construction trade partners, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Prepare narratives, reports, drawing packages, specifications, design calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support construction administration through RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, progress reports, site walks, and field surveys.
• Manage electrical scope and project budgets across small, medium, and large projects.
• Review quality, resolve complex non-compliant conditions, mentor junior staff, and support master planning, proposals, and project scheduling.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• 15 years of relevant experience in an AEC firm.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in good standing.
• Advanced electrical system design and engineering calculation experience.
• Expert knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, and IEEE.
• Willingness to travel for client development, project execution, and training.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments.
• Experience applying building codes and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Experience leading field surveys and preparing advanced reports.
