TL;DR
Production Assembler I-III (Aerospace): Manufacturing and inspecting aerospace and defense assemblies in an on-site production environment with an accent on soldering, component preparation, equipment operation, and adherence to military assembly standards. Focus on interpreting engineering prints and wiring diagrams, maintaining quality documentation, identifying non-conformances, and supporting Lean manufacturing and safety improvements.

Location: Lynnwood, Washington, United States; on-site. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.

Salary: $20.76–$25.87/hour for Level I, $21.71–$27.84/hour for Level II, and $21.96–$28.95/hour for Level III.

What you will do

  • Perform assembly operations according to military and other applicable standards, visual aids, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Prepare, clean, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, and completed assemblies.
  • Set up and operate assigned equipment and machinery, with proficiency in at least two process areas.
  • Complete production paperwork, create work orders and Non-Conformance Reports, and communicate quality or material issues to leads and supervisors.
  • Participate in equipment and workspace cleaning, inventory cycle counts, audits, rework, and repair of defective assemblies.
  • Support 5S, KPIs, Standard Work, problem solving, safety initiatives, and other Crane Business System activities.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a fine soldering certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret production or engineering prints, wiring diagrams, assembly aids, and production planning information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, English reading comprehension, and basic computer skills.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, arm-hand steadiness, accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception.
  • Where controlled data or information access is required, only US Persons will be considered due to ITAR obligations.

Nice to have

  • IPC soldering or rework/repair certification.
  • Experience maintaining equipment under a stringent calibration schedule.
  • Designated Inspection certification.
  • Experience creating sequences of operations and installation requirements from drawings, sketches, and oral instructions.
