3rd Shift Production Supervisor

What you will do

• Manage production-area activities across personnel, materials, machines, incoming products or services, and outbound shipments.
• Staff, train, develop, and enforce company policies and procedures for production employees across all shifts.
• Execute production schedules and maintain accurate communication, documentation, and reporting.
• Maintain efficient inventory systems to minimize scrap and storage while meeting production requirements.
• Improve production, assembly, and secondary processes to increase profitability and efficiency.
• Provide safety training and equipment, support product quality, and maintain employee morale.

Requirements

• One-year college or technical-school certificate, three to six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before employees or customer groups.
• Basic algebra and geometry skills, including calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Practical problem-solving skills and ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammed, and scheduled instructions.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and work near moving mechanical parts, loud noise, chemicals, heat, and electrical hazards.
