Production/Manufacturing Manager (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)

Location: Natchitoches, Louisiana, USA; fully onsite, 4:00 pm–2:30 am

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop two salaried supervisors and approximately 50–60 hourly employees on the second shift.
• Oversee production operations to achieve targets while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve workflow and productivity.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime.
• Lead shift meetings covering production goals, safety protocols, and operational updates.
• Ensure procedures, reporting, record-keeping, data entry, and policies are followed, addressing non-conformance when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least eight years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a large, high-volume manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and a record of leading teams and driving operational excellence in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal management guidance while delivering results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, plus familiarity with manufacturing software and reporting tools.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Three years of experience as a Shift Manager in a large, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or similar continuous process improvement.
