Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Salary: $145,000–$185,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Work with business stakeholders to understand ambiguous problems and decompose them into workflows, requirements, states, and edge cases.
• Build and validate working prototypes of automations, integrations, and internal applications within days.
• Develop and improve internal tools for HR, finance, project management, and IT systems.
• Diagnose client escalation issues, design fixes, and provide concrete build plans to delivery teams.
• Document solutions and hand them over to delivery managers and teams for productionization and rollout.
• Contribute solution designs and technical approaches to RFP responses and client proposals.

Requirements

• Full-stack proficiency across frontend, backend, integrations, and data layers.
• Strong data literacy, including data modeling, transformation, migration, and choosing between relational, NoSQL, and immutable event-log storage.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure and/or AWS, including standing up, securing, and connecting services.
• Ability to independently turn high-level business problems into buildable technical solutions for non-technical users.
• AI-native working style and ability to use modern AI tooling and repair custom tooling harnesses.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, integration, or solution architecture, with a record of shipping under time pressure.

Nice to have

• Consulting or professional services delivery experience.
• Integration and iPaaS experience with HR, finance, project management, and ITSM platforms.
• Experience with LLM APIs, agents, tool harnesses, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Large-scale data migration experience, including data cleanup.
• Azure or AWS certification, distributed delivery experience, and working Spanish.
