Forward Deployed Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, or Washington, DC; travel to customer sites is required.

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Configure and deploy software in customer environments, ensuring reliability and performance across complex workflows.
• Troubleshoot backend APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, and frontend systems.
• Travel to customer sites and work alongside operations teams to build trusted technical relationships.
• Prototype products with live customer data and incorporate direct customer feedback.
• Translate field insights into product roadmap priorities, solutions, and integrations.
• Turn successful prototypes into production code and create repeatable integration playbooks, documentation, and training resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in customer-facing roles.
• Experience building, deploying, or supporting production software in mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with TypeScript, Java, or similar technologies is beneficial.
• Experience with AI development tools, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Active US Security Clearance (TS/SCI) and eligibility under US government export regulations are required.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.
