Category Manager Capital Equipment (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Assembly & Packaging equipment used in Flash memory manufacturing.
• Manage supplier evaluations, benchmarking, market analysis, and supplier selection through commercial award.
• Lead negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, warranties, service support, and spare parts.
• Drive cost reduction, cost avoidance, productivity improvements, and contract management.
• Manage supply chain risks, supplier escalations, recovery plans, corrective actions, and business continuity planning.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Finance, Quality, and Legal teams on sourcing governance and technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement of capital equipment for semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage supplier escalations, drive issue resolution, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing Assembly & Packaging equipment for Flash Memory, DRAM, or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of equipment suppliers supporting the Memory industry.
• Experience with supplier escalations, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.
