Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Lead the Strategic Sourcing and Commodity Management team and manage newly identified suppliers.
• Develop long-term sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and drive cost reduction through negotiation, value engineering, supplier consolidation, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Select, qualify, and develop global suppliers while managing performance reviews, scorecards, and supplier-related quality, delivery, and compliance issues.
• Lead negotiations for pricing, service levels, contractual terms, and long-term supply agreements.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and Planning on NPI sourcing, forecasting, inventory planning, make-versus-buy decisions, and supplier transitions.
• Analyze commodity markets, geopolitical risks, raw material trends, supply conditions, and supplier compliance with ISO, REACH, RoHS, conflict minerals, sustainability, and ESG requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in procurement, category management, commodity management, or strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing global suppliers and commodity categories such as electronics, metals, plastics, mechanical components, or chemicals.
• Proven results in cost savings, supplier negotiations, and sourcing strategy development.
• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, problem-solving, risk management, cross-functional leadership, project management, decision-making, and business acumen skills.
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPM, CPSM, or APICS.
