Sr Procurement/Purchasing Specialist (Semiconductor)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite, with remote work not available

What you will do

• Develop sourcing strategies for MRO, indirect materials, capital equipment, critical equipment, and spare parts.
• Support NPI builds, production trials, and new product introduction requirements.
• Manage supplier negotiations covering pricing, contracts, terms, warranties, and service-level agreements.
• Review supplier performance across on-time delivery, quality, and service responsiveness.
• Coordinate with Engineering on preventive-maintenance spares, breakdown parts, and critical spare-parts strategy.
• Manage the PR/PO and contract cycles, drive cost savings, mitigate supply risks, and expedite urgent purchases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Exposure to semiconductor, electronics, or advanced packaging environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced packaging supplier bases, including die attach, flip-chip, underfill, dispense, molding, encapsulation, strip grinding, or solder printing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel for pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting, plus PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Word and procurement or SAP systems is an advantage.
