Senior Commodity Specialist

Location: Subang Jaya, Malaysia; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronic components across Asia.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Lead sourcing events by defining event structure, supplier pools, selection criteria, and outcome criteria.
• Conduct market analysis covering industry trends, pricing, lead times, and supply risks.
• Lead cost reduction and value engineering projects while managing annual spend and total cost of ownership.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Legal, Planning, and Programs teams on new product introductions and supplier qualifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• More than 8 years of experience in Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain within electronics or manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical, stakeholder management, communication, organization, planning, and time management skills.
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong ethical values and accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic components, EMS, automotive electronics, or PCB manufacturing.
