Business Operations Lead (AI)

Location: Vancouver, Canada; hybrid workplace

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, dependent on experience

What you will do

• Design, implement, and drive adoption of scalable business processes and operational systems.
• Own the SOC 2 program, including evidence collection, policy authoring, access and control reviews, audit readiness, Drata administration, and incident response planning.
• Build and manage the vendor lifecycle, including intake, risk reviews, security assessments, approvals, renewals, offboarding, consolidation, and spend rationalization.
• Lead change management through rollout, training, and follow-through for new processes and tools.
• Deliver cross-functional projects such as pricing analysis, vendor consolidation business cases, go-to-market efficiency reviews, and operational model development.
• Drive AI adoption and build agentic workflows, shared resources, and repeatable AI-native operating practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and running operational processes.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical ability, systems thinking, communication, and execution skills.
• Experience working with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or a similar security and compliance framework.
• Ability to work effectively across leadership, engineering, Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations.
• Active interest in AI and the ability to learn and apply AI-native ways of working.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

Nice to have

• Startup experience.
• Hands-on SOC 2 experience with Drata or a comparable platform.
• Experience owning vendor management or procurement at a scaling company.
• Experience building agentic or AI-assisted internal workflows.
