Engineering Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Seattle office

Salary: $215,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Own planning and delivery across partner integrations and deployment formats.
• Manage staffing, performance, and career growth across Partner Engineering and Deployment Engineering.
• Serve as the senior technical point of contact for AWS, OpenAI, GCP, Azure, NeoClouds, Apple, and other infrastructure partners.
• Set production-readiness standards covering reliability, security, and operability.
• Prioritize active partnerships and deployment workstreams, making engineering tradeoffs visible to leadership.
• Ensure integrations produce maintained deployment artifacts and reduce on-call load, recurring incidents, and support burden.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with exposure to distributed systems, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years managing software engineers or engineering teams, including ownership of a planning cycle from commitment through delivery.
• Experience supporting technical partnerships or external integrations lasting six months or longer.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and the ability to evaluate tradeoffs across cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, containers, and multi-environment software installation.
• Experience guiding senior or staff engineers on technical direction without personally owning system architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience with software packaging and distribution, including cloud marketplace listings, AMI builds, or equivalent install engineering.
• Experience working with hyperscaler or major platform partner engineering organizations.
• Experience standing up or restructuring teams and hiring project leads.
• Background in Go, Rust, or Python sufficient for design reviews.
• Experience with OCI, Apple platforms, Buildkite, or ArgoCD.
