TL;DR
Sr CRA Manager (Banking): Managing and enhancing Happen Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program and Strategic Plan with an accent on CRA performance, governance, regulatory reporting, and community development. Focus on analyzing lending and investment data, leading regulatory examinations, strengthening community partnerships, and maintaining examination readiness.

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid work model with in-office attendance required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote placement is not considered. Local Pacific Time hours are required, with flexibility across time zones when necessary. Relocation is offered based on the actual job level, and travel to hirify.global offices or other locations may be required.

Target base salary: $135,000–$159,000 annually, with potential eligibility for equity awards and an annual bonus.

What you will do

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the multi-year CRA strategy and Strategic Plan.
  • Monitor CRA performance and prepare recommendations and reporting for governance committees and senior leadership.
  • Oversee CRA data collection, validation, analysis, documentation, and reporting across lending, investment, service, and community development activities.
  • Conduct community outreach and build relationships with nonprofit and for-profit organizations to identify CRA-qualified opportunities.
  • Manage the CRA donations budget and coordinate volunteer and community development service activities.
  • Provide CRA expertise and training, monitor regulatory developments, and lead audits and regulatory examinations, including remediation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in CRA or a related regulatory function within a bank or regulated financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act, implementing regulations, interagency guidance, and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience managing CRA programs, Strategic Plans, performance context, data analysis, documentation, regulatory reporting, and community development activities.
  • Experience leading CRA examinations and working directly with federal or state banking regulators.
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking products, deposit operations, lending, community development, analysis, communication, and organizational planning.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools with careful attention to data sensitivity, regulatory accuracy, limitations, and human validation.
