IT Data & Analytics Manager

Location: Bellevue, Washington, USA. The role involves standard workplace duties, including extended sitting and up to 10% travel. Salary: $153,861–$205,149 per year; the range is specific to Washington State.

What you will do

• Directly manage data engineers, DBAs, and BI developers, including workload allocation, career development, performance conversations, hiring, onboarding, and team structure.
• Act as the first escalation point for technical blockers, cross-team dependencies, and prioritization conflicts.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate data and reporting needs into team priorities.
• Guide data integration, database management, data lifecycle management, data quality management, and master data management.
• Evolve data pipeline architecture standards, data-stack strategy, BI tooling, and data quality practices with the Data Architect and senior individual contributors.
• Represent the data management function in leadership discussions and enable focused, high-quality delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in data engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or BI, including at least 2 years leading technical teams.
• Experience working with both data engineers and BI or analytics developers is preferred within the required background.
• Ability to work autonomously, develop operating approaches, and report on outcomes.
• Strong people-development skills and an interest in growing team capability.
• Must satisfy applicable U.S. Government export control requirements; foreign national eligibility will be reviewed during the application process.

Nice to have

• Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure databases, Fabric, Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, or Logic Apps.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or a related data platform certification.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as energy, financial services, or healthcare.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, compliance requirements, and audit readiness.
