Manager, Data Engineering (AI)

Base salary: $89,400–$183,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead the data engineering team’s strategy, engineering standards, tools, methodologies, and delivery practices.
• Plan, estimate, prioritize, and oversee the on-time delivery of data engineering initiatives.
• Guide the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, analytical databases, governed data assets, and analytics workflows.
• Translate Finance and business requirements into technical plans aligned with corporate policies, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Advance the responsible use of AI and agentic development practices, including prompt engineering standards and team upskilling.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, develop, and retain staff while managing performance and strengthening technical capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience delivering scalable data and analytics solutions across cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Experience with dbt Core or Platform for transformation, modeling, testing, documentation, and governed pipeline development.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, automation, and pipeline development.
• Knowledge of data profiling, statistical analysis, data modeling, data architecture, data warehouses, transactional databases, object stores, and APIs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, project management, coaching, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Prior leadership, people management, or technical team leadership experience.
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or equivalent BI platforms.
