Senior Legal Counsel (Healthcare Technology)

Location: USA - Waltham, MA; must be located within 50 miles of a hirify.global office and work a hybrid schedule with two office days per week. Applicants may also be required to appear onsite for interviews.

Compensation: $128,900.00–$226,050.00 USD, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide legal support for clinical and medication decision support solutions, including UpToDate and Medi-Span.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate global customer, SaaS, enterprise licensing, subscription, implementation, and services agreements.
• Negotiate strategic alliances, co-development, co-marketing, reseller, distribution, content licensing, business associate, and data processing agreements.
• Advise segment leadership on contractual and regulatory risks related to product development, sales, marketing, and new customer offerings.
• Provide guidance on healthcare information technology, intellectual property, HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, and healthcare laws affecting providers, payers, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, and technology suppliers.
• Manage outside counsel and collaborate with global legal specialists while building relationships with senior executives and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and J.D. or equivalent law degree.
• Admission to practice law in the state where the candidate resides.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible corporate and commercial legal experience, including healthcare transactional and regulatory matters.
• Experience with innovative healthcare information technology, digital health, software licensing, and SaaS subscription arrangements.
• Understanding of U.S. and EU healthcare laws and regulations affecting operations and product development.
• Must be located within 50 miles of a hirify.global office and able to work onsite two days per week.

• Experience in both a top-tier law firm and an established in-house legal department.
