Project Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; primarily office or hybrid work with occasional travel to customer or field locations.

Estimated starting salary: $165,010.21–$226,889.04 per year, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

• Manage project activities across the product lifecycle, from initial design concepts through final delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for external customers and ensure requirements are met.
• Identify project issues, develop resolution plans, and implement contingency strategies.
• Drive process improvements and apply project management best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role, or 4–6 years of relevant leadership and/or project management experience as applicable.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practice, requirements management, system design, and integration.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment, travel to project sites when needed, and work in potentially hazardous environments during site visits.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced project management tools, methodologies, project estimates, technical proposals, and cost and schedule management.
• Experience leading complex development baselines, trade studies, and analyses of alternatives.
• Experience or certification aligned with INCOSE standards.
• Background in aerospace and defense, including aircraft interior modifications, 14 CFR Part 25 requirements, and integration of multiple vendor products.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
