Project Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Lake Forest, California, United States; hybrid work arrangement. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $100,000–$167,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Manage engineering efforts for in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems from project initiation through aircraft delivery.
• Develop integration solutions for installing IFEC systems in aircraft cabins, fuselage, and empennage areas.
• Create statements of work, engineering plans, project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations.
• Lead technical kickoffs, design reviews, and coordination with program teams, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications, vendor proposals, and project costs while ensuring technical and schedule alignment.
• Identify engineering risks, develop mitigation strategies, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering, or 9+ years of relevant engineering/project engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of engineering or project engineering experience; electrical, mechanical, and/or systems engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience leading and managing projects, developing integration plans, reviewing engineering designs, and applying project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards and applicable industry and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Jira, SAFe, or Jama.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial aviation engineering or project engineering.
• PMP certification.
