Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite manufacturing and laboratory environment. Occasional domestic and international travel of up to 10% may be required. Only US Persons will be considered where access to ITAR-controlled data or information is required.
Salary: $102,372.70–$119,578.80 per year.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including landing, cabin, brake control, and actuation systems.
What you will do
- Develop, modernize, upgrade, and sustain aerospace and electronic products.
- Create and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering models, simulations, use cases, and what-if analyses.
- Define product and process requirements, system architectures, verification activities, and requirements flow-down.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and business teams to meet performance, cost, schedule, manufacturability, quality, and reliability targets.
- Plan and manage engineering work, produce technical documentation, and support customer and program requirements.
- Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience and a BA or BS degree in engineering; mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Experience developing systems using recognized industry processes such as ARP4754.
- Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, and DO-160, as well as systems engineering principles, architectures, and requirements.
- Knowledge of requirements management, validation, and verification; experience with tools such as DOORS is highly desirable.
- Experience with multiphysics modeling and simulation, such as Simulink, and familiarity with software development life cycle practices.
- Verbal and written English proficiency is required for technical reports, presentations, analyses, and other communications.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- Experience applying artificial intelligence in engineering or aerospace systems.
