What you will do

• Lead daily design team operations, delegate work, and mentor junior designers.
• Oversee construction drawings, lease exhibits, zoning plans, and site-specific telecommunications designs.
• Review engineering drawings through QA/QC processes and maintain CAD standards and templates.
• Use AutoCAD to develop traffic control plans, utility profiles, and other design deliverables.
• Collaborate with Market and Project Managers on resource allocation, performance issues, budgets, and deadlines.
• Oversee and support field activities, including IKE site surveys, mapping, and civil investigations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fiber design, including new builds, site modifications, or fiber projects.
• Proven experience managing project budgets.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret building codes and understand right-of-way, aerial pole surveys, cable placement, and construction techniques.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a multidisciplinary team professionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field is preferred.
