Civil Engineer (Transportation)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, USA; office-based role

What you will do

• Design transportation projects using modern engineering technologies.
• Work on multiple projects while collaborating with clients and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Review designs, drawings, engineering reports, specifications, and other contract deliverables for feasibility, accuracy, and quality.
• Track project scopes, budgets, schedules, and progress, escalating risks to project managers.
• Prepare technical communications, participate in meetings, and present projects during public outreach.
• Conduct research and write technical proposal content to support business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Alaska Professional Engineering License, or ability to obtain it within one year.
• 10+ years of professional experience; 5+ years of cold-regions experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to manage teams and contracts across multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and deadline management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cold-regions engineering.
• GIS experience.
