CAD Designer I (Fiber Optic Networks)

Location: Remote within AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OR, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, or UT

What you will do

• Design and map HFC and fiber optic networks, including fiber node placement and service layouts.
• Prepare engineering drawings, electronic construction prints, base drafts, and CAD or GIS files.
• Update as-built documentation as construction is completed and areas are released.
• Coordinate design and engineering work with Technical Operations, Construction, Engineering, contractors, utilities, and public agencies.
• Support permitting, quality checks, design changes, material and labor estimates, and fiber availability or capacity checks.
• Apply applicable hirify.global, FCC, OSHA, NEC, NESC, VDOT, BOCA, land-use, and local, state, and federal requirements.

Requirements

• Up to two years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Completion of a Systems Technician course.
• Completion of the NCTI Fiber Testing & Maintenance course.
• Completion of the applicable hirify.global Technical Training Center systems course.
