Assistant Store Manager I (Retail)

Location: Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA; onsite retail store role

Base pay range: $18.50–$31.50 per hour

What you will do

• Partner with the Store Manager to achieve sales goals through forecasting, planning, category initiatives, KPI monitoring, and strategy adjustments.
• Deliver hirify.global service standards, create an inclusive sales-floor environment, resolve customer issues, and represent the brand in-store and in the community.
• Recruit, onboard, hirify.global, and develop team members while building a strong talent pipeline.
• Support virtual shopping, clienteling, customer data acquisition, and social media-driven customer engagement.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, HR processes, policy compliance, loss prevention, visual merchandising, store safety, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with district and corporate teams on market insights and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of leadership experience in retail or service industries; luxury or fashion experience is preferred.
• Strong customer focus and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams to exceed performance standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail systems, with knowledge of omni-channel services and clienteling strategies.
• Strong English language proficiency and ability to work nights, weekends, public holidays, peak seasons, and other high-traffic retail days. Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, and perform physical stockroom and sales-floor duties.
